How Did Nikki Grahame Die?
Grahame’s family announced in March 2021 that she had relapsed. They said she “constantly feels vulnerable and struggles on a day-to-day basis,” and that she wants to heal but believes it is “impossible.”
They started a GoFundMe campaign to pay for private care after NHS treatments “failed” and they had “exhausted all options.” Grahame joined a private hospital later that month to undergo specialist care, where she lived until her death on April 9, 2021, at the age of 38, from complications from anorexia nervosa.
Her representative said in a statement released on Saturday wrote:
Nikki Grahame passed away in the early hours of Friday 9 April 2021. Please respect the privacy of Nikki’s friends and family at this tragic and difficult time.
The last time I saw Nikki Grahame was in London. She rearranged her schedule to make time for me. We went to her favourite place, where everyone knew and loved her, so everything was on the house. We drank, danced, and talked about Big Brother. I’ll never forget her kind spirit. pic.twitter.com/04HunMianS
